OUR neuropsychological EVALUATIONS

We can help clarify whether one or more diagnoses are part of your child’s developmental profile

A thoughtful process for understanding your child more fully.

A neuropsychological evaluation helps families understand how a child thinks, learns, connects, regulates, and manages daily life.

What Is an Evaluation?

Evaluation is the full process. Testing is one part of it.

A neuropsychological evaluation is more than a day of testing. It is a process of gathering information, understanding patterns, and translating what we learn into recommendations families can use.

Testing gives us important data. Parent stories, records, observation, and clinical interpretation help us understand what that data means in real life.

Children do not want to be evaluated. They want to be understood.

What Are We Looking At in This Process?

We look at the full developmental picture.

Depending on your child's age and referral questions, an evaluation may explore:

  • Thinking and problem-solving

  • Learning and academics

  • Attention and executive functioning

  • Language and communication

  • Emotions and regulation

  • Social connection

  • Sensory and motor functioning

  • Daily functioning

The goal is to understand how these areas work together, not to reduce your child to one concern or one label.

When an Evaluation May Help

An evaluation may be helpful when:

School feels harder than it should.

Your child is highly capable in some areas and overwhelmed in others.

Big emotions, shutdowns, or behaviors are getting in the way.

Social connection feels complicated.

Your child appears fine in one setting and exhausted in another.

Previous supports or evaluations have not fully answered your questions.

You are wondering whether ADHD, autism, anxiety, giftedness, developmental delays, a learning difference, or something else may be part of the picture.
