Professional case consultation is designed for clinicians and other professionals seeking guidance around a specific child’s profile or next steps.
This may be helpful when you are evaluating or providing therapy services to a child whose profile is in Dr. Megan’s areas of expertise, but outside your usual scope of work or has you feeling stuck.
Areas of focus may include twice-exceptional profiles, subtle-but-significant autism presentations, female and gender-diverse individuals, and complex psychosocial profiles.
Consultation may help clarify the question, identify patterns, consider next steps, or support more accurate, compassionate language for the child’s profile.

Collaborative thinking for clinicians and care teams.
Group clinical consultation is designed for professionals who support children and families, including therapists, psychologists, social workers, pediatric providers, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Dr. Megan can lead or join your group supervision, staff meeting, or consultation group for one session or on an ongoing basis.
Consultation may support professionals in thinking through complex presentations, strengthening case formulation, interpreting evaluation findings, translating recommendations into care planning, and applying neurodiversity-affirming practice.
The goal is not to provide a one-size-fits-all answer. The goal is to support deeper clinical thinking, clearer language, and more effective care.

Providing an objective, outside evaluation to help determine a student's educational needs.
When parents and school administrators are not aligned on a student’s educational needs, or there is concern that a school-provided evaluation was inadequate, an Independent Educational Evaluation may be requested.
IEEs may be helpful when there are concerns that a student is not receiving adequate evaluation, services, or accommodations as required by educational laws.
Developmental Discoveries often completes IEEs for students who have been difficult for educators to understand, who have been removed from the school setting, or whose disability-based needs have not yet been fully understood.
The goal is to provide an objective, comprehensive evaluation that helps parents and schools develop a clearer, more collaborative plan for support.

Dr. Megan provides expert witness services in matters where pediatric neuropsychological expertise may help clarify a child’s developmental, learning, emotional, behavioral, or functional profile.
This work may include records review, consultation with legal teams, written opinions, participation in meetings, or testimony when appropriate.
Expert witness services may be relevant in matters involving independent educational evaluations, educational planning disputes, disability-related questions, complex developmental profiles, functional impact, analysis of outside evaluation processes and results, or recommendations for appropriate supports.
